History:

Founded by artists Amanda Piña and  Daniel Zimmermann in 2005 in Vienna, Austria,  nadaproductions was an association- structure which supported the development of the artistic work of art Amanda Piña, which encompassed arts based research choreography, performance, publications, films and video installations.

Nadaproductions features trans-disciplinary work centred on aspects of reception and perception through the involvement of audiences in new performance concepts.

nadaproductions repertoire comprises various flexible trans-medial formats that are tailored to fit different contexts and that enable the participation of diverse segments of civil society. The works tackle socio-political and biopolitical issues and raise the question of their consequences on the bodies of individuals. nadaproductions gained international recognition with the performance “WAR – Ein Kriegstanz” (2013), dealing with the changing function of traditional dances and with the representation of violence in the media.

In 2009 nadaproductions founded the “Federal Ministry of Movement Affairs”, a structure at the interface of para-institution and performance, using the potential of the perception and movement of the body to enhance consciousness. In the same year nadaproductions opened the off- space performance space nadaLokal in the 15th district of Vienna.
